What's the weather where you're at.

It's a dry heat so not too bad ... house is lovely and cool though
 
Today is the solstice for you Mike how many hours of daylight and when is sunset?
 
Plenty given we're on Daylite saving Eddie Sunrise is around 6a.m. and sunset will be around 8.30 p.m.
 
Here in Scotland on June 22 sunrise is 3am ish and sunset at 10.45 pm so plenty of sunshine as we are near the Arctic Circle
 
Hmmm . well how come I read of it getting dark at 1600?
 
I'm talking about our summer solstice on June 22 lol and crikey Mike tomorrow it will be dark at 1545 GMT

Good stargazing when it's clear. I'm fond of astronomy too. Love meteor showers, just had the Geminids and they were fantastic. Looked at the Horse Head Nebula in Orion yesterday and was amazing.
 
Yep, I have a lot of NASA lithos with hubble images and you're in a great area for viewing. Pity everything is so far away that we'll never get there. The nearest exoplanet which MIGHT sustain life is just a stroll down the road. A miserable 18 light years away.
 
Yes Mike, I wish I was orbiting it right now.
 
I estimated that at our current best speeds, it would take us over 230,000 earth years to get there. Charming thought

Well Proxima Centauri is the nearest star and would take eons to get to....
 
I wouidn't deny it's been pretty wet down here the last month or so, but I've just notice fungi growing on the doormat!
 
Fingers crossed for snow tomorrow = White Christmas, the weathermen are usually wrong though!
 
Sunny but cold in Rochester Kent.off out for a walk,we are fortunate to have a nice park near where we live.
 
Today is actually dry. First time in a fortnight. Looking forward to tomorrow if the forecast is correct - cold, crisp, frosty, and bright. Perfect for a Christmas Day.
 
Sunny here today, not too cold for the time of year. Looks like Chriustmas day will be colder and dry, so a nice 40 minute walk home from my dad's I dislike battling with the wind and rain
