I have heard that wheatgrass is very good for keeping blood sugar levels down as well as a host of other health benefits.

Does anyone use wheatgrass?

If so, is it really any good and in what form do you take it.

Thanks in advance

When I was drinking green smoothies regularly (tends to be more in the warmer weather!) I used to add powdered spirulina, MSM and barley grass to them.

Barley grass has the same benefits, but is better if you are wheat intolerant, as I am.

Thanks for the reply Brunneria

I will look into Barley grass

As wheatgrass has nothing to do with the grain it doesn't make tuppence difference :)

Wheatgrass is the tender tips of the young wheat plant.
Wheatgrass is not grain, and contains no gluten (the clue is in the name).

However, i am wheat intolerant, not gluten intolerant.

I'm wheat intolerant as well as gluten, the wheat was discovered first and have always been told it's the grain that causes the problem not the actual plant. I eat the grain and get a very bad rash, not so with eating the actual plant.

How excellent.
Also excellent that you feel you can speak so confidently on other people's behalf!

You will, of course, forgive me for not taking your opinion over my personal experience.
