Hi,
are you diet controlled T2? your profile doesn't mention? are you newly diagnosed?
What sorts of food are you eating beforehand? and how long after eating are you testing?
sorry for all the questions!
I don't to cause any worry but you should be thinking about highs as well as lows.
Hypo's are classed as anything under 4.0mmol, if you have a reading under this you should eat 10-15g of fast acting carbs (lucozade, glucose tablets, jelly babies etc) and re-test after 15 mins to make sure you within normal limits. After your BG is back up, if you are far away from having a meal i would eat a small carby snack, again 10-15g of carbs to ensure you do not drop back below 4.0mmol.
If you are around 4.0mmol and your not planning on having a meal soon then i would eat a small carby snack, again 10-15g of carbs to ensure you do not drop below 4.0mmol.
