When to take metformin

Hi everyone thanks for all the encouragement.
I am taking metformin 850mg 1 tablet a day.
When is the best time to take it

Take it with food. That seems to help avoid any stomach upsets. When I was taking one tablet a day I took it with my evening meal, and had no problems at all.
 
Metformin certainly works on an empty stomach but not in the way that you want it to .You will not be able to move far from the loo.I find that if I take my Met along with a meal,as in effect burying it in food , it doesnt affect my stomach :)
