Bundaberg and the Wide Bay area is a big Avocado growing area, both Hass and Shepard avos are grown here.

On Tesco. Com website they list many countries including Chile. I guess you have to look at the individual packet to see which country your particular one originates from.

I forgot to mention, that where the avo and macadamia nut plantations are in the Bundaberg / Wide Bay region where once sugar cane farms.

More money to be earned in avo's and nuts than sugar.
