These 2 videos oversimplify diabetes.
Diet --> weight reduction and use of Metformin have promoted as ways to reduce insulin resistance. for many years.
Nothing new there except that low carb is now becoming more mainstream.
The videos are really only covering T2Ds. And saying that T2D is always reversible and that it would not eventually progress under ideal treatment is impossible to say. It is not an all or none phenomenon in every single case.

I will talk about my experience. I left the drugs after using them for months without interest
Now I'm fine for months, even if I ate a lot, my blood sugar does not rise fasting about 4.4 to 4.8. After meals under 7.4
I am sure that in the future I will not have any problems with high carbs
