Hi I am new here, but have had type 2 for two years. The last 18 months i have been seriously unwell with mental health issues and my diet took a back step. In this time i have been eating everything i shouldn't and have developed a sugar addiction. i have sugary carbs at every meal and in between constantly. I also notice that if i have one bar of chocolate it doesn't satisfy and i can easily eat 4-5 bars at one go. I notice withdrawal symptoms if i try to cut back.
So my question as I am feeling better with my mental health is where do i begin to cut back . I look at some of the eating programs and from the amount I eat i reckon it will be like going cold turkey.
Any thoughts
