I injected really high up on my arm last night. It was where there is less fat. My sugar was 22.9mmol (ate and drank too much while watching the footy!!!) so I corrected. In 45mins exactly I had gone down to 3.1mmol  and was feeling a bit rubbish. Is that because I don't usually inject there? or, because there was less fat?

Thank You

PS. Come on England!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi candi-girl,

my understanding (others will correct me if I'm wrong) is that fat gives a more even gradual release than injecting into muscle. I have injected into muscle before when trying to correct a massive accidental high.

So, yes, if you inject at the top of the arm it'll reduce bg levels more quickly in my opinion, but you still need to calculate the corrective dose the same.

Sam.
