....and you are Scottish, in fact an honorary Weegie since yer da's fae "The Gallowgate" - for some reason it's never just "Gallowgate" - ask your dad! Luckily, you won't have the (to some, at least) unintelligible Glaswegian accent? - I can say that as I'm a Weegie, but ye mibbee no unnnerstaun!

I'm bilingual - I can speak English too.

I understand everything, both my names are traditional Scottish names, Surname is a clan name, both of which I am very proud of :-D people say my dad still has the Scottish accent, but listening to my brother who still lives in Scotland, my dad sounds more English to me. I know about the' Gallows' my dad will be 91 this year and doesn't remember things like he used to. I have relatives in Ayr, Eastwood and my step nan ,many years ago, lived in Paisley. Wonderful people, in a wonderful country. Cheerio

We were in Dunedin two days ago. It's a lovely place, settled by the Scots so very scottish in it's traditions. It's about an hours drive away from us.

I was in the "secure document destruction" trade... It was long hours & heavy work, but I actually enjoyed it..
