Hi I found this discussion useful, I have just been diagnosed T2 but have a number of other conditions including sleep apnoea that doctors would need to be aware of if ever I was admitted in an emergency. Its been on the edges of my thoughts for a while now as I am a keen fan of 24 hours in A&E and realised that if they ever did a CT scan on me confusion would reign as I am missing a couple of organs and have a small extra spleen! I didn't want a bracelet that looked like jewellery and I wanted to be able to have my wrists bare in certain circumstances. I looked at the website listed above www.medicallergywristbands.com and as it was local to me decided to try one. I got an extra large one so that if I was in posh long dress I could wear it on my ankle. Having seen the TV shows if I was unconscious they would have to have someone on my feet to lift me so would see it! I was really impressed both by the speed of dispatch and the band itself. After a little more thought I decided to get a second one for my wrist for when I am driving on my own across the country. I still feel a bit labeled (personal hang up) Sent from the Diabetes Forum App
