Type 2 Whey protein

Hi everyone, I have started going to the gym again , I’m type 2 and was wondering if anyone has used whey protein and branch chain amino acids without any problems

Hi Ray,
Had to look up branch chain amino acids,(BCAA) and the very first paper I came across had a couple of interesting things to say about it. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5568273/

"the few studies in human subjects have reported decreases, rather than increases, in muscle protein synthesis after intake of BCAAs " :banghead:
"We conclude that the claim that consumption of dietary BCAAs stimulates muscle protein synthesis or produces an anabolic response in human subjects is unwarranted.":bookworm:


Basicly save your money and use it to buy real food, high in protein particularly those high in Leucine
Leucine is suspected to be the only amino acid which can stimulate muscle growth.;)
