Hi everyone, I trust you are all keeping warm as winter has truly arrived! We had a great weekend enjoying the snowy scapes of Anoch Mor. One major issue I have experienced when the temperatures drop is my blood sugar metre doesn't work, I do try to keep it tucked in under my clothes but I don't always remember, This weekend my metre refused to work for a couple of hours at a time, which wasn't particularly helpful especially when i had a pair of ski's waiting for me outside after lunch. I wanted to ask you if you can recommend a metre that works in low and high temperatures? Many thanks for your assistance.

I'd imagine they are all the same and not sure if one is better than another in the cold weather, I use an Accu-Chek meter and I've had a few error messages in the last few weeks when leaving the meter in the car, usually placing the meter under your arm soon warms it up and gets it working again.

Thank you noblehead for your input & thanks douglas99 for guiding me to the recent thread. I just joined here today :) Yes I had my metre under my arm pit but it got too hot. I am going in search of a cosy bag that will sustain the metres temperature over the winter months. I trust that one day we will no longer require those metres.
