Managed to get some sensors covered under insurance for Libre 2.
Second day wearing it.
But
I have a blood glucose number of 8.1 on the Libre 2 and 6.8 on my freestyle lite Metre. Taken right after the other-- which is right?
Knowing this can make a big difference in if it's at a level below 4.

I always trust a fingerprick over a sensor reading, and I take a fingerprick when in doubt, when my sensor says I'm below 4, or if I feel hypo but my sensor says I'm not.
Sensors are absolutely wonderful to see patterns but they are a tad less trustworthy on absolute numbers.
A difference of 1.3 mmol/l is completely acceptable.

Also bear in mind that there is a 10-15 minute lag with the CGM, i.e. it will give a reading of your equivalent blood sugar 10-15 minutes ago.

In short both are right

But treatment should only be based on actual blood glucose tests

All maters have a margin of error typically 10 to 15%

So if 1 is 15% low and the other high then that would give this difference

Also libre is not testing blood so the results can differ slightly and lag behind at times of change
