Hi guys,

Saw DSN yesterday, had a breakdown as my diabetes control isn't good. Got offered Tresiba but I am so afraid of hypos that I am not ready to switch over. I got given a new metre.. WaveJazz or something like that.. but the comparison of readings compared to my FreeStyle is... quite different.

I'm running high the last few days as I am testing how much Lantus I need and started out on a lower dose. My Wave is showing me as 17.3.. FreeStyle 15. Obviously I need to correct because I am STARVING and in a bad mood because a pre-meal high makes me want to cry and just go to bed instead of eating.

Which metre do I trust...?

I found my wave sense jazz (not sure if that’s what you mean) was slightly higher than my other meter.

Use either, but only one of them, all meters are + or - 15% so there could be a difference of 30% between them and they would both be in tolerance i.e. "correct". So pick one and stick with it don't fall into the trap of constantly comparing them. That way madness and long threads on forums lie.

Hahaha, thank you.

Guess it's another omelette for me... although they seem to raise my blood sugar just as much as if I ate carbs. :banghead:
