Holy Toledo! Is the period (.) key on your keyboard busted?Just ask away and everyone will answer your questions as insulin doses can be high due to you being insulin resistant as that is the same for me as mine is nearly 200 units a day but I know people that take more due to the resistance to insulin and as for testing I'm testing before each meal as my diabetes doctor wants me to do it that way until I see him again next week and injection sites are in your stomach around your belly button just think of it as your bum and you will get the Idea and in the outside of your outer thighs and do not inject on the same spot for each injection as you will get lumps there so put it in at different spots on each injection and that way you will find it easy to your liking and diet I use a low carb diet and only have around 20-30 grams of carbohydrates a day and that way I can do whatever I need to each day and that includes exercise or what I can do but what I can do is see if I can get a hold of someone who can help you just as much as me and you can have some more information about it all
OK, thanksFor the present 'Newly Diagnosed' but 'Ask a Question' is fine too. Do not worry where you post a thread the worst thing to happen would be a mod coming along to ask if you would like it moved, sometimes just so more members will see it.
OK, thanksYou can post anywhere you like. Many of us just check the 'recent posts' section without checking what forum it is posted in. Ask a question and Discussions work fine for almost anything.
Nope. It's one of the things that makes diabetes hard to live with, choosing the right rating for a post on this forum.PS: Is it possible to give a post more than one "rating"? I couldn't see how to do that. I wanted to give you both "Humorous" and "Friendly" in addition to "Like".
Well, if that's the hardest thing I ever have to live with, I think I'll be OK.Nope. It's one of the things that makes diabetes hard to live with, choosing the right rating for a post on this forum.
Hi @Sugar High ,
One tip, that may help you. Go into your personal details & where is says "Type of diabetes:" On the drop down menu, pick "Insulin-dependant type 2." This will help direct reply response from members with any specific enquiries, regarding your prescribed medication.
My screen looks just like yours except that the list is:You should see something like this? Click the bar where the bottom arrow is, then select where the top red arrow points.
My screen looks just like yours except that the list is:
There is no "Insulin-Dependent Type 2" entry listed. Unless the Alzheimer's is worse than I thought.
- Type 1
- Type 2
- Gestational
- Insipidus
- . . .
Do all of the different ratings count towards your "Like" count or just Likes?Nope. It's one of the things that makes diabetes hard to live with, choosing the right rating for a post on this forum.
Do I have a like count? Cool!Do all of the different ratings count towards your "Like" count or just Likes?
Agree, but many people (like me) will overlook the signature...If you can't sort out the info under your avatar you could put your Type 2 Insulin Dependant status in your signature (see my signature below), it's better than having to type it out every time. Your edit sig function is on your profile page.

On the other hand, if relevant to my answer I do look up the information on profiles before answering.
