Who are they?

I got a picture of Gillian Anderson and altered it until it did not want to be found with Google. I tried it on you and Izzzy just guessed it straight away so the test was not good. Just posting a picture of Wil Wheaton had more success.

I so far have put female American author in Google and trawled through pages and pages of images but to no avail.

My winning streak has deserted me I fear....

I only know two American female authors. Margaret Mitchell and Grace Metalious. The look of the piccy says it is neither of them so I will go and watch TV for a bit.
