Whole Blood v Plasma

I have been advised that I should not drive if my level is less than 5.0. However, the clinic is unable to tell me whether this is whole blood or plasma reading. In fact they seem not to know the difference. My meter gives results for plasma. What is the correct plasma reading below which one should not drive. To ignore this advice could invalidate my insurance.

Sorry, but I can't answer your question about driving, suffice to say all or most meters read plasma since a few years ago.
