People with type 2 diabetes have insulin resistance

But why not resist external insulin ?

Why cells respond to external insulin but reject internal insulin ?

I think you'll find generally people who suffer insulin resistance and on injections inject more insulin than say a T1D without IR.

For example.
I produce some insulin, naturally but it isnt enough to feed my insulin resistance to the point of enough good quality insulin to turn over my metabolic needs. Its noted due to my fat cells and the fact I'm just 9st overweight now rather than 13st overweight in 2016. So awaiting bariatric surgery.
Now. The injected insulin is absorbed and used on top of what I naturally make. I inject approx 85units of basal insulin and use metformin (2000mg) and a fast acting insulin (novarapid)(60-80units spread out through my meals).
A lot? Yes. I'm severely insulin resistant and weight loss can help........so off to bariatric surgery, I go. In the intrim lose weight by doing a low carb diet which doesn't give me higher blood pressure or more palpatations. Approx 100g carbs daily, on average.

What an excellent question. You don't want to start using logic @hichamgsm because it poses difficult questions that we can't answer. Nice question though. Ask some more.

Good morning squire fulwood

Already puzzling questions must be found answers.
Learning things better than ignorance

I think there is one reason

Insulin components lose something in genetically modified insulin. Which makes it not authorized to open the cell. The problem is not insulin resistance but internal insulin components Experts should compare internal and external insulin
Here comes the role of metformin to perform the role
