Why do colds seem to drop my BG?

I was diagnosed in December last year and had a bad cold in February ... had to almost half my Lantus and dramatically cut back on NovoRapid.

I have another cold right now and the same thing is happening - keep going hypo even though I'm working to my usual ratios etc.

Everything I read online talks about how the body increases BG levels when you're ill to fight off infection and refers to sick day rules etc. etc.

Anyone have any ideas why the opposite seems to happen for me?!

Nope, my appetite is completely normal. Weird. Maybe it's because I'm honeymooning and the cold is indeed raising my BG but my pancreas is compensating. No idea.
