It's because the food industry find sugar and carb loaded foods are very profitable and adictive. We have all been conned by packets that proclaim they are full of vitamins, calcium etc which are of much lower significance. These companies provide a lot of research funding to university diet and food trials which result in obvious bias. We have to be a lot more selective in the marketing hype we follow. If we vote with our feet when we shop eventually the supermarkets will reduce the shelf space allocated to junk food and drink.
Let's just say some not all. I do environmental science work for oil companies and they most assuredly get what I find, good or bad, regardless of what they pay me.Are you suggesting that scientists only find what you pay them to find ? Surely not
