DO people who are not Diabetic encourage you to eat food that will send your bs through the roof.Oneof my work collegues offered me a chocolate hob nob biscuit , you know the type , it comes in a multi pack in a wrapper, when i said no, that will send my sugar level through the roof , she said dont be silly it wont do you any harm, my partners diabetic and his sugar level is 12 and never drops below that and thats ok. I politeley said that raised blood sugar levels make me feel ill. But why is there such ignorance amongst non diabetics even more scary is the fact these peope are carers .

As you say, it's just ignorance. If you're not diabetic, what's a couple of biscuits or a donut. I used to eat half a packet with a cup of tea. I would say that you're partner's bg is worrying high.

Her partner has major health problems , what i usually say now nuthead to people who emcourage me to eat sweets and sticky buns and hob nobs is," i would like to keep my eyesight and my feet", i care fore peope who have neglected to take control of their diabetes and its not pretty ,.
