i eat low carb sometimes keto
and am facing multiple teeth loss
i dont know how to get the low
carb food soft (i crockpot cook my meat)
and dont often eat veggies grains or fruits
mostly just with family

its so much easier to just go out
and buy yogurts puddings bananas
beans beefaroni peanut butter
and the like
i end up with sore teeth and gums
right now even with soft foods
(been to the dentist already)
and when the next ones are pulled
i anticipate soft food wont hurt as much

but if i go off the low carb/keto i
face using units and units of insulin
which compounds things-
weight gain and hypo risks

i sometimes eat cottage cheese
but it bothers me like other milk things and milk
(multiple bathroom trips)
hard cheese requires fibre pills to tolerate (the opposite effect
to multiple bathroom trips)
so this reduces the choices even more
and with sensitivity to salt (high bp and swelling)
bacons out and canned meats
i tried several protein drinks but cant stand the tastes

im kind of at a loss
as what to do

what would others do?
have i just arrived at a point
where i choose foods that dont hurt
over better blood sugar control?

Will you not be getting replacement teeth of some sort once the gums have healed completely?

@cdpm can you tolerate eggs? Scrambled, poached , fried? Even hard boiled aren’t really hard food.
And how about soup? Especially if you could make your own stock ( a pressure cooker makes short work of this).
Hope the dental work goes well.
