Anonymous question submitted:

have been a type 1 for several years and work has been fine about leaving me working night shifts only as my diabetic control is much better at night. now work want to force me onto day shifts which will have an immediate and detremental effect on my blood sugar controls. i have been through my diabetic gp and he agrees and has written to work about remaining on nites. i have attended a few occupational health appointments and they too agree with the advice given for me to remain on nites. any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. with thanks, Joe.

Why would working days have a detrimental effect on your blood sugar control ? Sure you would need to make adjustments and test more frequently in the first few weeks but to be honest I can't see a problem with working days.......unless there's something your not mentioning :?
