Will Taking Hormone Tablets affect my blood sugars?

Thank you to everyone who has given me their thoughts on my problem. Just a shame my diabetic nurse is not as understanding as yourselves. I will carry on coping with my recent cancer treatment and view my diabetes as secondary to that. You have all given me strength to carry on with that thought too. A Happy New Year to you all.
Hello, I know I’m coming to this long after your post, but I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and I’m taking an Anastrazole. I have experienced a wild craving of carbs and sugars on this medication which I didn’t really eat before because I was diabetic, joint pain, memory loss, in ability to sleep and I’m completely fed up of feeling 80 but I’m only 56. Then I pop along to see the diabetic nurse who tells me I have to have an insulin and when I try to explain to her that I’m on hormone therapy for cancer and this mess about blood sugar she wasn’t interested. So I’m frustrated and angry and I’m sick and tired of being just about the only person that the medics don’t actually talk to. Nobody told me about these side-effects but I’ve made a decision to put my life before diabetes and I’ll do what’s been advised above and just cut out all carbs. But I think Anastrazole interferes in the way in which you processed sugar and fats because you need hormones to do those simple biological functions, so it’s a bit of a grim picture.
