Wine and sugar levels

This is a general question that I am trying to answer

I became alergic to wine, well when I had a 1/2 glass with food (before I was diagonised) in France, I had a massive miagraine for 1-2 days, I used to get miagraines but thankfully they have now seem to have dissapeared.

Also when I drank a beer (1/2 can) again with food, I got a very bad headache almost straight away and certainly before the meal was delivered to me.

So the questions are if your blood sugars are at the wrong level and you have a glass of beer or wine can this lead to a headache almost straight away? These symptons were before I was diagonise with Type 2, as I have been wondering what caused these headaches (yes I have had MRI scans and are all clear etc)

Could it be just down to the wrong sugar levels in my body at that time that caused it?

I now do not drink any beer or wine, as I do not want these headaches/miagraines, and I am not planning to "test" the theroy again

Thanks

MIchael

Hi, Michael :)

Apparently you can have a allergy to wine/ alcohol, not sure what how you can find out.

Taking your own advice sounds quite sensible.

Dry wine has less sugar content, so if you had dry wine this would lesson the blame on sugar.

Best of luck with this query.

Roy. :)
