I have an Omnipod. Over the years, I have been on Medtronic (twice) and the accucheck. The Omnipod is by far the better option which gives more freedom. The tubing is a nightmare especially if your a guy. Very few places to attach the pump..The tubing creeps out!! Its a BIG passion killer too (if youre single) - Mind you so is the Omnipod. - Thats the only downside on the Omnipod. You cant just disconnect it for an hour or so. I got myself the new Freestyle Libre. I found it a bit of a pain to use with the Omnipod so now Im back on MDI. Ive used all pumps...tried most things. For me the best so far is good old fashioned pens and the libre. I take Tressiba once per day. It is now so easy to carry my Libre in one pocket and a pen in the other, I just scan and take a quick shot whenever and right now, I am having the best BG control that I have ever had. The Freestyle Libre outweighs any device by far. PS: Pumps are hard work. Youre constantly fine tuning them. Its not the easy solution that everyone thinks. Even the specialists at hospitals are now saying this.
