Hi I wondered if anyone had suggestions on what I could get for my icy cold feet?I've tried most of the Bed Socks I can find and although I have no sensation in my toes, because of the Neuropathy, when I asked Richard tonight to "bend" my big toe back into place because it had been cramped up for almost an hour,he said did I realise that my feet were like ice and I'd been wearing 2 pairs of socks! The pain is always worst at night yet my feet feel like they're on fire but I wear bed socks and Richard says he can still feel how cold they are.Obviously I can't use a hot water bottle because I can't feel how hot it is,I made that mistake the other night getting into a bath :? I forgot to test it didn't I!I just thought someone might know of some socks that work for them.A good friend of mine with MS says how she agrees with me when I say I wish I could take my feet,or even my legs, off at night and hang them up!!Last night I said to Richard if only I had a sharp enough axe I'd chop my feet off,not funny I know but I really was climbing the wall.Take care. :)

My partner suffers with the alternating icy cold/burning hot feet thing.

I gently massage the calves/ankles which seems to help.

Good luck.

There's a light touch therapy called Bowen Therapy which helps with restless legs and cramp, don't know if it would help but it's worth a try. If you can't get to a Bowen therapist you could try this. Either you or your partner should feel for the middle line of your calf ( where the 2 muscles that make up your calf meet ). Start just under the back of your knee and with your fingertips on each muscle along the central line, GENTLY move your hand so that the muscle rolls slightly forward, first one hand then another, moving down towards the ankle. Don't run over the tendon at the back of your ankle. Repeat 3 times. As long as you keep it gentle you can't do any damage.

Probably not a good idea if you have neuropathy as you could damage feet !
Could try warming up the woolie socks though.

A combination of GOOD bg control and exercise might help.
