Sorry i have to share this with someone who will appreciate it.

Just did my post lunch reading and i got an 8.6  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

woooohoooooo, i am so happy! it's really coming down, and i don't feel half as bad as i did yesterday!! it's working!!! long way to go yet but finally something is working!!!!!

woooohoooo!!!!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

You're heading in the right direction manxangel and yes, we do know how you feel. When readings start coming down we all feel like saying "woohoo". Until I came on this site I always had readings around 9/10 mark first thing in the morning. To see my early morning figures around the 5/6 mark now feels great. Keep going,manxangel....... onwards and "downwards", eh! (To say onwards and upwards seems inappropriate, doesn't it?) You know what I mean.

Great news Manxangel and well done.
Just bear in mind that you will suffer the occasional hiccup when your BS suddenly goes up for no apparent reason, but as I'm sure you know by now, there can be so many different reasons for this, so don't worry about it. Just as long as the overall levels continue to be downwards on a week by week basis then you are on track to having your diabetes well under control.

The nurse told me to monitor every half hour to hour or so just to make sure i wasn't going too low.

just done a hour readnig and i'm down to 6.3

First time i have ever been in the "normal" range! oh thats so exciting!

i am going to watch now in case i get too low, i am really light headed but that will pass.

Wohoo!

Sorry i have to do more happy news, all my reading today are under 10.0mmol!!!!!

:*does a little happy dance at her desk*:

just got to keep it up now!!!!! made up!!!! never thought i would get here!!!! oh and i'm being "taught" to carb count in three weeks.

I'm going to be normal soon!!! wohoo!! happy days!!! :D 8)

sorry to be so nuts, when i was diagnosed it was totally doom and gloom and now it's coming down and under control every little drop is a huge step!!! i know i'm not down to what i should be yeet, but he he he Small steps!!!!

Keep it going, manxangel and you'll be in the 5-6 range full time before you know it.

Delighted for you,

fergus
