Not much you can do when you’re being physical you kinda need to be 12 or 10 so that you have carbs to burn off if you’re at 7 and work hard like I am today you’ll drop quickly and have a hypo It’s the only way unfortunately

Have you considered going on a pump? Then you could lower your basal rate when you're active....

But I agree that hypos suck. I can totally understand you wishing to avoid them.

Yea I tried the pump but don’t want to

Can only suggest that you also think about what you are eating.

Having a lighter cereal for breakfast often sees me topping up with a sugary coffee and a biscuit mid-morning. Eating porridge will keep my glucose levels higher for longer, usually taking me to lunch time without extra carbs.

A change in insulin from Abasaglar to Levemir has also helped to keep my line a lot flatter.

I have to cope with hugely variable work patterns where I am driving a desk most of the time but might be unexpectedly on my feet in the factory all afternoon.l
