Dani, has your thyroid function been tested? Hypothyroidism can go hand in hand with type 1 as both are autoimmune. Tiredness is a symptom of under active thyroid. I have both (but didn't actually notice the tiredness).

Ask for it - it's thyroid function test. Mine was tested when I was first diagnosed so it may be a standard thing to check (on bloods form may say TS3, TS4, TSH). I take levothyroxine tablets for it and is no bother - I have regular blood tests and juggle the dose to get it at right level.

Can you check if they did it with your previous tests? If not, maybe get it done before May. I don't know if it's normal but I can just ring up my GP and ask them to do bloods (HBa1C, thyroid function, liver function, cholesterol) - as I have to do this before my appointments with the consultant at the hospital.

Hi guys, I'm after your opinions/advice.
