Can anyone help me out with this? I'm wanting to start working out to build muscle because I'm quit skinny, but I'm not sure about what to eat or what workout routine to do???

I got my doctor to do a medical referral to our local leisure centre (membership half price)
They had a gym instructor who specialised in medical referrals and he helped with exercise and diet it also helped that he was diagnosed with type 2 about 6 years ago so he could speak from experience
So from my own experience I would try to get doctor to refer you to a gym

I tend to do a treadmill session, rowing machine, resistance, weights, sit ups, then swim for a while.
I don't tend to eat anything special, low GI/GL normally.
But I agreed the program with my instructor, but nothing special for being T2

Building muscle tone made probably the biggest difference to my glucose intolerance, along with the weight loss.

Hi
I am starting a weight training exercise next week and they looked at my diet and said I wasn't eating enough and they said I should be taking a protein supplement to help gain the muscle ?

Yes you need extra protein to build muscle. Just remember any protein that isn't used in muscle repair/building gets turned to glucose so will raise your blood glucose levels.
