Hi all!

I've read many thread's on similar topics however thought I should ask. ( Slightly hard to explain)

I have recently purchaced some new shoes and they have worn the back heal of my foot - similar to a blister that has popped and it is quite saw. (like a pair of ladies high heals may do on a night out ;))

I know you can get stick on heal pads for shoes etc but i've realised they were just 1/2 a size too big and the constant rubbing did the damage over 8 hours of walking / 20,000 steps as i work in a supermarket at night doing shopping. (More fun than it sounds!)

They were only trainers and are well padded along with thick socks but I didnt feel anything at the time until I took my thick sock off and saw it was very red) I have normal good sensitivity in my feet with checks every year.

It has been about 4 weeks and nearly healed. I plastered it, bandage, kept clean and changed almost daily while letting it air.

I've noticed over the years any kind of small cut across the body seems to take so long to scab / heal and wondered if others had the same problem?

I tried Savalon cream and a little moisteriser at times but it seemed keeping it dry was the best option in between showering.

Has anyone had any simalor issues?

(Sorry for dodgy spelling at times; i cant seem to find a spell check button o_O)

All the best. :)

Google "runners lacing" I used to have problems with heel slip that caused blisters, this works a treat, and no blisters since. It's amazing just how many variations there are on lacing a shoe, and the reasons for them
