Worried About Fat

I’m a type 1 and now 5 years in and doing pretty good with my control. However although I am not following a LCHF diet I do eat more fat which worries me mainly because I had two stents fitted 2years ago in my coronary arteries and I would hate them to block up. By more fat I mean I eat cheese and nuts most days, eggs and peanut butter also. I do eat quite a lot of vegetables and fruit. How do other people get on with their diets and can anyone put my mind at rest. If I ask the GP they will no doubt tell me to avoid saturated fat altogether.

Has you cholesterol improved? If so, it seems proof that it's working :)
