Unfortunately mistakes happen everywhere, it is just bad when it happens in the NHS. Human errors crop up and most times people don't really suffer. Sometimes those errors can be fatal ! The main thing is how they deal with things when they realise the mistake.
Seems that now it has been picked up on your Son is going to be looked after. That's good. As for the apology that is good too, if one hadn't been forthcoming then I personally would have taken it further. Now, I think lessons have been learned. As I know to my cost recently, it's what they do after which matters.
