Hi, y'all, so i take four 500mg Metformin a day, two morning two after last meal. I just had my last meal and went to take my meds. I took the first one, but then something happened which caused me to get distracted, and now I don't know if I took the second one plus an extra. I'm worried now, because I'm soon going to sleep and this hasn't ever happened! Am I going to be ok?

This reply will probably be far too late but safest is not to take another (just in case) best leave it as it is

No personal experience with metformin but - as what it does is slow down your liver making new glucose, the worst that can probably happen is maybe your BG might be ever so slightly higher for a few hours than it would otherwise have been.

Metformin has no impact on starches/sugars in what you eat. Info from Bilous and Donnelly, Handbook of Diabetes.
