Worried

Hello. I have found lately that I can't tolerate anything sweet without almost going into a coma that's how it feels. I just go into a deep sleep about ten mins after eating. Sometimes I get this very frightening feeling at night like I'm going to die. I'm pre diabetic. What I would like to know is does this sound like I'm hypo? It's worrying me a bit.
I don't eat through the day much not enough really, but I eat a good diner in the evening, could that have anything to do with it?

No it doesn't sound like a hypo. Eating sweet things make you hyper which is different. Take this to your GP.

Incidentally, I am old and often have a nap after lunch. Just one of the nice things about being old.

Of course it does what am I thinking. It's so complicated isn't it. My husband will agree with you he loves his nap in the afternoon but it goes on until the evening haha. I will have to go to my doctor. Do you think I just crash because I can't tolerate high carbs?

You may just crash because the day is long and that is entirely natural. I have no idea about your tolerance of high carbs. The only answer I know of is to get a meter and find out about them.

You could just be suffering carb highs? I would eat meals spread thru the day and keep the level of carbs at a sensible level and low-GI. Have enough protein and fat to keep you feeling full and smoothing carb absorption
