Hello, my partner had an emergency Eye appointment last Saturday as he has obstructed vision and colour perception loss post Pascal Laser.

Turns our he has a subhyaloid hemorrhage. They suggested laser to try and help disperse the blood. My question is is this YAG laser or something else? Also has anyone had this done to them and if so what are the benefits and the after affects or symptoms.?
As you can imagine he is very anxious and wary regarding having more laser.

Many thanks

I had YAG a year or so after cataract procedure. Apparently it is down to detritus not being 'hoovered out', left behind to gradually spoil the amazing sight with the new lenses. Only one eye out of the two suffered. It took just a few seconds. A bit like an arcade shot-'em-up. Just a clicking sound. Absolutely no side effects so far (2 years ago?). Told not to expect benefit immediately but in fact it was perfect straight away.

HTH
