I’m in my first cycle from diagnosis to 2nd Hbac test. I decided to try with exercise and diet and seems to be working lost 15lbs in 2 months and pre evening meal bloods usually 5-6 unless been a bit naughty at lunch. Was in Camden yesterday and couldn’t resist steak sandwich with wedge chips. Had some Yerba tea on Monday and thought I’d buy some to take home. So yesterday when I got home reading was 6.5 put it down to lunch but was curious if Yerba might lower it. So had a big mug and 30 minutes later was 5.5. Once again found myself in Camden again today and once again couldn’t resist. Got home and reading was 7.5 felt really guilty and must say I’ve got a bit complacent. Anyway tried tea again and once more it lowered to 6.5. I guess could be a coincidence or just another 30 minutes since meal. Anyone tried Yerba tea ?

Almost certainly the extra time between the two tests.
Blood glucose rises and falls after food, so it was probably falling anyway.
To be certain, you would have to repeat the circumstances (including timings, exercise, stress levels, etc) but without the tea.
