Hi people,
I'm new here, I'm 41 with type2 being treated with Metformin and I've just been put on Victoza too. I was diagnosed around 3 years ago and didn't take it seriously until a few weeks ago, my eyesight is getting worse and my fingertips on my left hand are going numb so it looks like no more choccies for me

Hi Curtis and welcome to the forum Yes, it sounds like it is time for you to take your diabetes seriously and start looking after yourself. Watch the choccies as we all have to It's not only choccies though - it's carbs in general. One thing you must start doing as maybe you haven't been doing this, is testing. Through testing you can find out what you can eat and what you should cut down on or cut out. You need to get to know your own body. To help you here is the basic information that our friends Sue and Ken, former monitors, have written for new members which I think you would benefit from. I expect you will have lots of questions, so ask as many as you like as there is always someone here who will have an answer for you.

Hi Curtis and welcome to the forum. Have a good look round the forum there is loads of information that will help you get your diabetes under control. Any questions you have just shout

Hi Curtis and welcome to the forum. I was on Victoza but my GP withdrew it as I wasn't losing weight plus it was expensive to prescribe. I'm now on insulin (I wonder if that is any cheaper to prescribe). Anyway, a big welcome to you!
