Yet another grumble .....

To those of you who havent yet had enough of me this past 2 weeks,can anyone help?
I had the flu jab yesterday at the diabetic clinic. I have never had a problem before but tonight I am hot, sore throat and headachey, I am awaiting starting on insulin next week as my type 2 diabetes was no longer controlled by meds and diet and excersise.

Is it because my readings are high? Or has anyone else been knobbled a bit by this?

Oh yes Alliebee, I had problems last year for the first time . I had exactly the same problems this year but was expecting them as , apparently, this years vaccine contained the same components as las year.
There is a thread somewhere on here - a couple in fact but links to an article on one of them supplied by a very helpful member "catherinecherub " who is no longer posting.

Unfortunately my symptoms this year lasted even longer than last year. I never normally experience any reaction to injections and fewer people seem to have reported side effects his year.

I hope that yours don't last long!

My readings this year are much better than they were last year.
