to be honest I started teh yoga as I had chronic lower back pain from running/rowing/cycling. Dropping one session of one of those in favour of yoga was one of the best decisions I ever made.
 
... I've practiced yoga for years. Like lots have said, it's probably not going to massively improve insulin sensitivity, but does help me in terms of stress, which likely has a knock on effect with blood sugars
