recently diagnosed with t2 on metaphormin, doing ok on low carb etc etc whilst doing weight watchers, so my question is whats the best yogurts to have? so im not eating choc etc im struggeling to increase my fruit but want a pud of some sort! if I have the greek style yogurts what can I put init apart from fruit? any other suggestions sorry for the waffly post
I have natural full fat Greek yogurt every morning for breakfast. I crush 4 walnut halves or 2 brazil nuts and sprinkle through, lots of forum members eat blueberries, raspberries, blackberries etc with theirs. It fills you up and I don't feel hungry for hours. Good luck

Lidl's Greek Yogurt (brand name is Milbona) is delicious, very good value for money and doesn't need any sweetener , you could mix some pumpkin/sunflower seeds into the yogurt together with some blueberries and strawberries (strawberries are very low-carb).
Any yoghurt is good but preferably those without any added sugar. I have a dollop of yoghurt together with strawberries, blueberries, half an up ripe banana plus some walnuts and sunflower seeds. I also have a slice of pumpernickel bread with peanut butter or eggs or sardines. This breakfast does not make my bs spike. In fact, it lasts through the morning until lunchtime.
I agree Carol. Our bodies take food differently. I had sushi dinners several times and it never spike me in spite of the sushi rice which I thought is high glycemic. Pasta and noodles does not spike me if I take small portions. Cherries, mangoes and papaya will spike me even in small amounts especially after a meal or on its own. Do very confused with food.
