The liver takes the brunt of most medicines John. Steroids are processed in a far superior fashion than most tablets. They are great at what they do but have to be processed. No all you need to get T2 is some real bad luck.
@ickihun thanks but I was thinking not just of my case I really do think it bad luck for any one to get diabetes in any number of ways genetic, diet, drugs immune system throwing a wobbly it's all just so random. When I was diagnosed with MG the consultant registrar said to me think of it like coming up on the lottery the chances of getting this are less than winning the lottery but you did it, I said I'd sooner have a million pounds. The liver takes the brunt of most medicines John. I've seen slothfulness but not associated with diabetes.Quite right, too. You do not have to have gained weight to develope T2 and you certainly do not have to have been slothful.

Stress is a huge contender. Illness too.
Lack of sleep stresses the body... for me. I cannot remember my other illness meds so it knocks them about.
11yr old is ill now. Past 7weeks has been 3 of us on 2 courses of antibiotics. For scarlet fever now tonsillitis/throat infections.
Will it ever end. Fruit and veg is getting binned due to it rotting. I'm going back to frozen ones.
Morrisons frozen berries are good.
I have found that if I am rundown, an infection that most people can clear in one week, lasts 2-3 weeks, and it can take up to 6 months to feel back to "normal for me." Makes life challenging but I am determined to keep on fighting. After an initial infection the immune system can feel a bit battered so other opportunistic bacteria/virus' can get a hold. It takes a while then for the body to 'mop up' these infections.
Nowt wrong with frozen veg, I prefer fresh but I will use frozen veg and, yes, frozen berries are great, no more throwing the last few fresh ones away.
Hope you all get well soon so you can start enjoying tne summer.
Definitely ditto.I have found that if I am rundown, an infection that most people can clear in one week, lasts 2-3 weeks, and it can take up to 6 months to feel back to "normal for me." Makes life challenging but I am determined to keep on fighting.
