I was reading through the low carb recipes thread, and thought how great it would be if some of you experienced chefs could post some of your tried and loved Christmas recipes for the newbies amonst us,

Having tried a couple last night, I could really get into this new eating plan.

Thanks and drooling with anticipation already....

alliebee - not sure exactly what a Christmas recipe is, people eat what they consider to be special, I know someone who is going to eat a special pork pie for Christmas dinner. This guy says he has been good all year long and not eaten pork pie, this is going to be his treat  - oh well each to their own is what I say.
If you look at the link below and scroll down to my post you will see what special meals we are going to have this year, they are tried and tested, I have done similar last Christmas, any new recipes I tested throughout the year.

Oh so glad you posted Whitby,
Ive read loads of your recipes on the threads, and they look so good

Im very new to lo carbing, just two weeks, got all the family coming, the SDN says just not to worry for one day. as I have only just started on insulin,
BUT Im full of good intentions and although I can eat a lot of the traditional foods, I plan to have just vary small portions of the things I know I can eat.

Just wondered if you or anyone knew of any lo carb versions of the favourites lol

Going to miss bread sauce myself,

Merry Christmas

Alison
