Hi there,
I'm 10 weeks pregnant and despite the consultants/nurses generally being happy with my control, they're keen to switch me from my current Tandem pump onto the closed loop Ypsopump/CamAPS set up. I was keen at first but I'm now really nervous as having had a dig 1. the reviews of the app are pretty scathing, some people even saying it gave them severe hypos which is terrifying for me and 2. The pump doesn't look particularly user friendly to me, lots of symbols etc.

I was hoping someone might be able to reassure me if they have any experience of this system? Or should I be pushing back?

I've been on the Ypso pump with CAMS APS since January. The pump is very simple to use and CAMS APS is vey straightforward to use looping with Libre 3. My control has improved immesurably. It is probably the best pump available and supprt from Ypsomed is excellent. There are also facebook groups for both the pump and for CAMS APX where any questions and issues can be resolved.

I have been using camAPS for just over a week, also read the reviews and was worried about relying on it but it has been a game changer for me, my control has improved massively. I have had a hypo every night which I don’t usually have, but the alarms work fine, only once during the daytime has my G6 disconnected and that was only for ten minutes. It does learn over time so hopefully the hypos will stop soon but other than that no regrets and I much prefer the pump life to MDIs :D
I was expecting lots of alarms like people say but haven’t had any of that, I have gone from 50% TIR to >90% most days, the most difficult thing has been finding the infusion set most suited to me! Good luck

I have been using the Ypsopump with CamAPS for about 2 years now and it is absolutely brilliant. It does take time to learn the symbols BUT since all the entries to the system are made on your phone, you only use these occasionally when changing the infusion set / reservoir and on initial bluetooth set up.
This system has been an absolute life changer for me and I'm in my seventies so I'm no tech wizard!
Hope this helps.
