Thank you, thats some good advice. Ive tried matcha but not in the traditional way, Ive read that it can be great for stabilising levels. Im with you on the deserts, there doesnt seem to be a set answer to satisfy the craving safely.
When thinking about making your own baked goods, just substitute butter for seed oils and margarine, put a bit of lard in the bread - it seems to be the healthy option after all.
