Happy World Diabetes Day!

Today marks the day that the world focuses on diabetes: World Diabetes Day! Diabetes is a 365 day a year concern, and it is important to have a special day in which to pull in focus and push for advances in treatment, prevention, and a cure.

World Diabetes Day is also a way to recognise those of you with diabetes that live and manage the condition day to day, be it type 1, type 2, gestational, prediabetes, or any of the other types of diabetes that exist. The community is home to 223,207 people, and today, we want to highlight all of you. So jump on in to the conversation.

The PM in support of WDD

As it is World Diabetes Day, and as a person with type 1 diabetes herself, Prime Minister Theresa May has released a statement about diabetes and calls it a "key priority" for her and her government to promote the best possible care for those with diabetes.

Shocking alternative medicine death

We were saddened by the shocking death of a grandmother who had type 1 diabetes immediately following a Paida Lajin self-healing therapy. Three people have been arrested in what is the second case of a very similar death.
