Morning all on a damp start to Wednesday in Little America. Unknown fbg from yesterday's 17-18 gms carb and just over 7k steps. I'm never quite sure how well I navigate the narrow path between a proper attitude of gratitude, accurately evaluating the impact of my body's major manufacturing defect, the effects of cytotoxic drugs and their heady mix which seemingly requires a much more sedentary lifestyle than I desire. How much of that is a mental desire to over protect, play for a draw/stay in the game in sports terms? Does a keto lifestyle adversely affect an already tricky situation? - I (strongly) suspect it probably does but bloods don't show that. Anyhow, enough about me. @Krystyna23040 this suggests Poppy could well have worked out what you wanted. @LivingLightly welcome. @gennepher thanks for sharing the creative. I do know hydration is important so more tea incoming. Do unto Wednesday as you would have Wednesday do unto you.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and those whose dna tests show a high percentage of Neanderthal ancestry, more of that later.

Blood sugars this morning were a healthy, not the end of world 7.7

Me, me’s and myself have been asked about our family history to which I always reply “ I have enough problems with the living members ov my family without digging up the dead ones”

Our journey down from the very dark and dangerous norf was on our side ov the carriage was uneventful, unfortunately not so the side heading norf.

While in the norf Mrs J spent time splashing paint on paper while me, me’s and myself spent time on enforced relaxation. Lindisfarne is a wonderful place, but a long way up the sat nav.

Now it’s plinky plonky day here in Tilehurst Towers and I have amassed a total practice time ov 0 minutes

It’s time to go. Stay safe all.

Good morning everyone on a damp squib of a late start here in the dark and dangerous north. No reading today as it’s late and also pre bin day and also I can’t be bothered as I am a person of Whim (small town in Western Australia). Busy busy yesterday and as the sun was shining for the second day in a row, the grass got a trim - second highest setting on the mower - nothing too bowling green thank you. I did the back and Mrs Miggins the front - lawn that is - we are not hairdressers nor barbers - stand under a fig tree in Seville for that, or Fleet Street according to rumour control. Art bit - quit a large lump of paper so quite a large Chinese brush - and quite a bit of water. Hope your day trundles along without fault - I need a late koffy and then to sort out the washing.

Here's an interesting article about bread. I never knew white bread was historically a marker of being well off. I think I imagined the reverse. Odd that the Church should have promulgated the idea that white bread was pure since one would suppose the bread Jesus ate was not pure white. Anyone here remember eating the national loaf? Do artisanal bakers provide ingredients lists or pay for nutritional analysis? Also makes one wonder what other staples which are now piled high and sold cheap were once and could again be "healthier". Of course if UK Plc wasn't determined to be a low wage economy all could probably eat well - if they so wished.

No FBG this morning. Forgot, but did manage feed cat, exercises (nearly a complete set) empty dishwasher , laundry and French practice. Was feeling quite smug until second coffee when I realised way too late for FBG.
Trip to market today. Lovely spring weather so very lively. Pavement cafés full to bursting and queues to buy plants.
Bought a few veg plants and a romanescu cauliflower. Onion sets to plant as well. Looked at some shoes , but the pair I liked didn't fit so no use. Then tripped on the way back to the car and the sole is nearly off my shoe. Not sure if I tripped because it was off or the trip ripped it away, either way I thought now I do need new shoes. However have remembered a pair in wardrobe that are mostly unworn, so those will now be my go to pair. And I have managed to reduce the shoe collection by one. Not going to attempt repairs as uppers are very scuffed.

Interesting article @ianpspurs. Thanks for posting. We buy our bread from a farm bake house up on the cliffs - about a 15 minute drive away but only open on a Thursday (she provides bread to one shop and has a stall on the monthly market) - all real sourdough. Our two quite large loaves cost a total of £7.50, yielding 12-14 slices from each to put in the freezer every fortnight. That national loaf (Hitlers Secret) looks dreadful.

I like a romanescu cauliflower. Commiserations on the flapping shoe but good on reducing the shoe collection I expect.

6.3 pre doctors, bakers, grocers, then chores, Mrs L dressed and bathed and spruced up, not in that order.
taxi was excellent, doctors, half an hour later, phone numbers, social services, calls team, Duty team. But Mrs L reluctant to have counselling.
funny thing, taxi driver asked how Mrs L was and in her own words. Any more tablets and you - referring to me- will get battered! It's a common term of endearment.
because of the recommendations from the specialist, her anti depressants are to be increased. So I'm watching my back! If I don't report in tomorrow after counselling, you know why!
We went into town because.
And bought herself a couple of something to wear, and some treats, and some food, a bite to eat, so I don't have to cook this evening
I indulged in a pair of cheap sliders. I don't wear slippers, and my old ones are battered.

Spring has sprung, oh no it hasnt!
It's cold!
It's been raining.
And colder over the next few days.

43 years tomorrow.

A new carrier bag, not plastic. To cart around her stuff.

It does seem to Mrs L that as we carried the shopping in from the taxi, with her walking frame, that she confessed, that we didn't get enough from town. And confessed, that Mrs L has forgotten something particular.
I reminded her, that, in the scheme of things. Many things have been forgotten.

I'm knackered, but of a rough night and a rough day. Realisation with doctor, that we really need help.
And should be getting it.

You lot have a lovely evening.

My best wishes to you all as always!
