I was on statins before I became T2 diabetic, if I’d known there was a link I would never have started on them :-(

This is scary reading! I think I’ve made up my mind and am going to refuse this drug and try and continue to lower my levels with diet & exercise.

My doctor wants me to change my medication as my last Hbaic has gone up slightly (to 7.7 mmol from 7.3 mmol). I currently take Metformin twice daily. He has suggested the above drug but to be honest i'm not keen on taking any medication other than metformin as I am trying to lose weight myself...

Thank you all for your replies. I contacted them this morning and they are going to send me the Contour Next One which means I will be able to carry on using my current test strips which I get on repeat prescription :-)

I can’t find my testing meter how do I get a new one? It was a Contour USB Next meter and I’d like the same one if possible.
