T2 diagnosed 2010 - carried on regardless, just increasing the meds - until April 2015.
Started VLCD regime 23rd April 2015 using Exante meal replacements
Baseline: HbA1c 63 mmol/mol or 7.9%, 16st 9lbs.
Daily meds at outset of VLCD: 4 x Gliclazide 80mg, 4 x 500mg Metformin, 1 x 100mg Losartan, 1 x 10mg Amlodipine, 1 x 20mg Atorvasatin
Current meds (Dec '16) 1 x 100mg Losartan, 1 x 10mg Amlodipine, 1 x 20mg Atorvastatin.
18th June 15 - 8 weeks ND completed: 30 day BG avg down from 6.6 to 5.3. Lost 39lbs to 13st 12lbs.
19th June 15 - Migrated to LCHF plan for continued weight loss & maintenance regime.
Jul 15 - HbA1c 43 mmol/mol or 6.1%, 13st 9lbs.
Oct 15 - HbA1c 42 mmol/mol or 6%, 13st 3lbs.
Jan 16 - HbA1c 40 mmol/mol. 13st 13lbs.
May 16 - HbA1c 44 or 6.2%, 13st 8lbs
Sep 16 - HbA1c 50 or 6.7%, 14st 8lbs Ooops, lost my way over the summer.
Dec 16 - HbA1c 43 or 6.1%, 14st 8lbs Back on track - just need to eat less to loose the excess weight.
Nov 18 - HbA1c 54 or 7.1% 14st 10lbs - Seriously took my eye off the ball, but back in the saddle again now.
